Parking Meter Fee Payment Types
GISL offers a range of reliable and proven self service payment methods for parking fees at the meters.
COIN
Most parking meters are fitted with coin acceptance.
GISL parking meters and ticketing systems use a WETDECK Coin Mechanism to minimise the sticking of wet coins.
A Coin Escrow and Cancel Button also enables customers to cancel transactions.
Coins and tokens are programmed as required with foreign, counterfeits, slugs and badly damaged coins being rejected.
CREDIT CARDS
Our ON LINE Credit Card payment solution was introduced in 2004 on our Pay and Display meters using secure wireless technology and partnering with a market leader in electronic payments - Direct Payment Solutions.
Although credit card payment for unattended machines has been around for many years it has not been widely used due to the high cost of administration and fraud caused by machines not being ON LINE.
The GISL Credit Card solution minimises risks and reduces administration, delivering funds direct into an Operator's Bank Account overnight automatically. All Card payments are authorised at the time of transaction meaning that reported stolen and lost cards are rejected.
The turnaround time is approximately 3-5 seconds, measured from the time lapse for the parking machine to the issuing bank and back to receive a pay and display ticket. Find out more....
TXT-a-PARK
TXT-a-Park was introduced to New Zealand in January 2004.
The TXT-a-Park system enables parking fees to be charged to Customers’ Monthly Mobile Phone Bills, and in the case of prepaid phones, the parking fee is simply deducted.
TXT-a-Park has the highest take up rate ever seen before on a self–service parking device. This makes the system viable and cost effective for the Parking Meter Fleet Operator. Find out more....
OTHER PAYMENT METHODS
GISL can install other payment methods such as EFTPOS and BANKNOTE ACCEPTANCE with self replenishing change giving to GISL electronic eTM ticketing systems.
